A devastating fire broke out late last night at the Lotus Grandeur Banquet Hall located in Noida’s Sector 74, leading to the tragic death of an electrician. The hall, which was undergoing renovation, was engulfed in flames around 3:30 AM. According to officials, the fire spread rapidly due to the wooden structure of the hall and possibly the presence of gas cylinders in the kitchen area.

Fifteen fire tenders were dispatched promptly and reached the site within 15 minutes of receiving the emergency call. The blaze was intense, but the fire department managed to bring the situation under control after an extensive firefighting operation.

DCP Ram Badan Singh confirmed that an electrician named Parminder lost his life in the incident. He was sleeping on the first floor and was unable to escape the fire in time. Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar added that smoldering remains continued in parts of the structure due to the wooden interior.

While the exact cause of the fire remains uncertain, early indications suggest it may have been triggered by a short circuit. The authorities are continuing their investigation. The banquet hall has suffered total damage and has been left completely gutted by the flames.
